Video game expos are great venues for learning about upcoming games with a chance to possibly get your hands on some sweet swag. Now, if said swag happened to be a special "Prestige" edition of Call of Duty: Ghosts valued at $200 and including a wearable camera, some would assume there would be a high demand. So when Activision opened up a booth at the Milan Games Week expo and offered this "Prestige" edition to the first 500 people to show up, things got incredibly out of hand.

According to some eyewitnesses, the giveaway was moving along quite well for a little while before some overzealous gamers started getting nervous. The only stipulations for this event were that you had to be first. In other words: show up on time and hope you get a copy of this special version of one of the most anticipated games of the year.

Needless to say, this first-come, first-served event quickly turned into a free-for-all as expo attendees basically started a riot for the Call of Duty: Ghosts giveaway. After trashing the booth, the fans caused the event to be shut down.

People were apparently trampled and kicked, but no major injuries were reported. The booth was eventually closed, but the damage had been done and many of the "Prestige" editions were stolen.

Considering most of the people involved in this small riot were busy trying to get their hands on the game, the only evidence we have of it is this short video of the aftermath:
