Earlier this month, Sir Ben Kingsley confirmed that he and Marvel were working on some sort of "secret project" together, but would not go into detail. He spoke highly of the crew and his excitement to be working with them again. The question is, what exactly is this project going to be? Well now a new rumor is claiming that Kingsley will appear in a one-shot short film for Marvel with the real Mandarin!

Marvel fans should know that in Iron Man 3, Kingsley portrayed an actor playing the part of the Mandarin. It was a weird twist in the storyline, but Kingsley's performance made it work. But now this news brings him back into the Marvel universe, despite him being a fraud. But is it the Mandarin real?

According to a new rumor from Latino Review, yes!

First of all, Marvel president Kevin Feige also confirmed the project recently. When asked about the secret project, he responded: "I think the keyword here is 'secret,' ha ha!"

So this is definitely happening or maybe already happened.

This new rumor claims that Kingsley will be featured as Trevor Slattery, the drunken actor portraying the Mandarin in the Iron Man 3 storyline, in the new secret project. That said, this rumor claims that Trevor will be meet the real Mandarin who is not too happy about the fact that the actor was using his name.

That's the rumor so far, and it definitely makes sense. Considering this is one of Marvel's "One-Shot" projects, we should expect to see it as a bonus feature on the next Blu-ray/DVD release from the studio. So expect this short to appear on the Thor: The Dark World bonus features.

Do you think this is actually what the secret project will be?
