Earlier this week, longtime voice actress on The Simpsons, Marcia Wallace, passed away at the age of 70. The talented actress was responsible for making her character, Mrs. Krabapple, an iconic figure in all of television. She had a distinctive laugh and an attitude so perfectly expressed through her voice that Wallace's talent couldn't have been missed. This Sunday, The Simpsons will air a special episode for the deceased voice actress.

The 16th episode from season three of The Simpsons garnered an Emmy for Wallace. Entitled "Bart the Lover," this episode explored a different side to Mrs. Krabapple.

"Bart the Lover" involved Bart finding out his teacher put out a persona ad and begins to mess around with her, sending her replies. Soon he sets up a fake date and spies on her when she shows up to it. After she waits for hours, Bart doesn't think his prank is funny anymore and tries to put it right.

This is definitely a memorable episode from the show, so it is a fitting episode to air in honor of the late Marcia Wallace.

"Bart the Lover" will air in place of a repeat of American Dad, and precede the newst episode of The Simpsons, "4 Regrettings and a Funeral."

The new episode opens with a special The Hobbit-themed couch gag. In it, we see our favorite characters from the series taking on the roles from the popular J.R.R. Tolkien books.
