Kristen Stewart's new movie w/ Jesse Eisenberg, 'American Ultra,' Reunites 'Adventureland' stars in new action comedy film

Nina Nourizadeh (Project X) is set to direct a script from Max Landis (Chronicle) starring Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg. This upcoming action comedy, entitled American Ultra, will reunite Stewart and Eisenberg who previously shared some on-screen chemistry in 2009's comedy Adventureland. We'll get the chance to see how these two perform together in an action movie setting!

The Hollywood Reporter broke this story and described the plot of the film:

Eisenberg will play an unmotivated stoner named Mike, who lives with his girlfriend Phoebe (Stewart), in a small, sleepy town. One night, their lives take an unexpected turn when Mike's past comes back to haunt him, and he becomes the target of a government operation set to wipe him out.

"Simply put, American Ultra will be the most fun you can possibly have in a movie theater without the use of drugs, fireworks, or canola oil," said producer Anthony Bregman.

We all know that Stewart is used to action thanks to her roles in the Twilight franchise as well as Snow White and the Huntsman. Eisenberg was recently in Now You See Me, a successful heist film that now has a sequel in the works. It will definitely be interesting to see these two working on this action film, but odds are they will both do great jobs and hopefully have a successful movie on their hands. Perhaps this could open up into a new franchise for the young stars!
