Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber have been going through a ton of controversy in 2013. The two former child stars have made headlines for overtly sexual behavior, drugs and scandalous relationships all year, allowing tabloids to easily fill their pages with their latest antics. Now, one of pop and R&B's biggest rising stars Ariana Grande has come to their defense.

In a video YouTube interview, Grande has come in stark defense of the two music icons, saying that people should mind their own business and pay attention to the music. First citing her own relationship this year with The Wanted's Nathan Sykes, she then went on a rant in defense of her friends.

"She's an adult. She can do whatever the hell she wants, honestly," Grande said about Cyrus. "She looks amazing, she looks gorgeous, she looks stunning. And she's having so much fun. If their choices aren't for you, don't look at it! Move on and talk about something else. Worry about bettering your life, not hers. She's fine. Her life is the best it could be right now. That's what bothers me about people and society. Shut up."

At times, Grande got notably defensive, and it's clear why star privacy would be close to her heart. Though she mostly has a squeaky clean image, Grande has seen what the spotlight can do to others, including Justin Bieber, with whom she shares manager Scooter Braun.

"He can do whatever he wants. He's doing the same thing as every other boy in the world right now. He's just under a microscope, and he's being scrutinized by people who don't know him," she said. "I know him, and he's a good person. He really is... he doesn't deserve what he's going through."
