It seems like they've only just begun, but has Ariana Grande and The Wanted's Nathan Sykes' time as a couple come to an end?

According to E! Online, in an interview with Florida DJ Brian Fink, Grande said that news about her having a boyfriend is "a little behind," and that she and Sykes are "really good friends" now.

Of course, news of a split would be big for 93.3 FLZ, but the synopsis from the radio's site and a tweet about the breakup have since been deleted. Besides the radio station interview, Grande and Sykes have not commented on the status of their relationship in some time.

The two were last seen together following the American Music Awards.

Grande and Sykes were first linked together when they recorded "Almost Is Never Enough" for both Grande's debut album Yours Truly and the soundtrack to the teen flick Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

After weeks of rumors, and Grande's split from Janoskians jokester Jai Brooks, Grande and Sykes confirmed their relationship on Sept. 24 after a date on Disneyland. As lovers do in the 21st century, they took to their Twitter accounts to confirm their relationship status.

Grande and Sykes' relationship was not just filled with cozy moments at sushi restaurants but also quite a bit of drama. Grande's ex claimed that "The Way" singer cheated on him with Sykes during their relationship in a lengthy Twitlonger on what would have been his and Grande's one-year anniversary. Grande instantly denied those claims, saying Brooks was making good on some blackmailing and that she "wasn't scared of him" anymore.
