If you're a young music star, your favorite sports team is the Miami Heat. It doesn't matter where you're from, you really like seeing LeBron James and Dwayne Wade play basketball. This is for some reason a thing. Rapper Drake is definitely one of these fans, even though he's Canadian. So when the Toronto Raptors announced that their franchise would host a "Drake Night" to honor the hometown hero, it made sense but not isn't that a bit awkward?

On January 11, 2014, the Raptors will host the Brooklyn Nets at the Air Canada Centre, but the game won't be the only spectacle. The NBA team has officially deemed this night as "Drake Night," which will have some special Drake-themed festivities.

Brooklyn plays Drake's actual favorite team, the Miami Heat, the night before so it looks like the rapper could attend his special night in Toronto and get a double dose of Kevin Garnett and the Nets.

The Score reports:

Limited tickets are available for the Toronto Raptors' must-see game of the season on Jan. 11... Yeah, the Brooklyn Nets will be there to play basketball, but it's DRAKE NIGHT!HYFR! Free t-shirt!

Here is the special promotional poster that announces "Drake Night":

Do you think Drake will attend? There isn't exactly a reason not to attend, but who knows!

Also, Raptor fans might see this black and gold poster above and recall how earlier this year the team was rumored to be changing colors for the 2014-2015 season. Perhaps this is the team's way of saying the rumors are true?
