We get a bit of backstory from Ken Watanabe and also see some scared faces. There is also a fair amount of destruction and general fear running rampant throughout this trailer. This just adds to the excitement for the new film!

Plus we get to see Godzilla for a brief moment!

What's great about this film, so far, is that it's living up to its name. We all remember what happened last time Hollywood tried to remake this monster movie, but it looks like they absolutely got it right this time around! Do you agree?

Godzilla stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe and Bryan Cranston, though the main attraction is the new take on the legendary film monster. It hits theaters on May 16, 2014.

Here is a brief synopsis of the movie:

An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
