The Civil War's Joy Williams and husband and manager Nate Yetton joyfully welcomes their first son to the world on Saturday June 30.  The couple announced the news via William's twitter account.

The 29-year-old singer songwriter tweeted, "Now I really know what love at first sight means after meeting my son, Miles Alexander.  Born yesterday, all happy and healthy. xo"

It's been a year of milestones for Williams.  Together with her bandmate John Paul White, the Civil Wars duo took home Grammy trophies for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album earlier in the year.  The duo may be best known for their work with Taylor Swift on the the song "Safe & Sound" featured in The Hunger Games soundtrack.

The group will take a break as Williams adjusts to motherhood.
