The NFL's first openly gay player, Michael Sam, has revealed why thinks he was cut from the St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys and is no longer on an NFL team ... and it has nothing to do with his talent. The defensive player, who came out before this year's NFL draft — told reporters that he still believes he has a future in football, and that the reason he's not in the league may have to do with his sexuality and about the bogus "Michael Sam distraction" rather than his talent as a footballer. When asked by TMZ why he's not currently on an NFL team, despite being drafted by the St. Louis Rams and then picked up by the Dallas Cowboys after being placed on waivers by the Rams, "I was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year last year, I don't think it had to do with talent." Even though Sam was a college star, the fact that Sam is gay caused many in football to wonder how it would affect his draft stock and his eventual acceptance into the NFL, with the "(New York) Daily News" even saying "most NFL experts blamed his size — and not the fact that he was gay" for his draft-day drop. The countdown continues as America awaits another Duggar to arrive into the world. This time it will be Jim Bob and Michelle's daughter Jill Duggar Dillard's son, aka "Baby Dilly," who is expected to make his debut March 2015. After getting over another wedding — Ben and Jessa Seewald's — the "19 Kids and Counting" stars Derick, 25, and Jill Dillard, 23, are gearing up for parenthood and taking their first pregnancy one step at a time. "I am learning a lot about birth," Derick shared with "People" magazine earlier this week. "We are doing our homework together, and I keep reading new things, the medical aspects are fascinating to me." Jill says she and her husband are on the same page when it comes to their child's birth plan: "We are really on the same page. Alexander Wang is touching down in London. The brand plans to open its first UK shop on Albemarle Street in Mayfair by early 2015. It's the first European outpost for the designer, who already has stores in Tokyo, Beijing and New York. Wang will join brands including Paul Smith, Amanda Wakeley, Buccellati and Garrard & Co. on the street, which is fast evolving into a retail hotspot. J.Crew opened its first European store in London almost exactly a year ago and on Wednesday announced plans to open a fifth in the city, in addition to its first two stores in Paris. The bag and accessories collection includes satchels, totes, duffels, wallets, key chains, bracelets, T-shirts, wall art and luggage tags. The luxury leather goods brand has given its handbags a dash of cartoon-like playfulness with Schulz's famous comic strip sketches embossed on the satchels, totes and duffels.
