Just when we thought the dust from free agency had settled and the focus was firmly on the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles dropped a huge bombshell by releasing their star wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Reports surfaced that he had off-field problems, and his release quickly followed. The negative rumours have been dismissed and several teams have looked at snapping up the talented receiver, who already had many suitors within hours of being available. Where will Jackson end up?

Reports suggest that the Eagles had been trying to trade Jackson, and his contract provided an issue, especially as he wouldn't restructure it. Last season he led the Eagles with 82 receptions for 2,332 yards and nine touchdowns. It's scary to consider the impact he would have if he ended up on the New England Patriots or Denver Broncos' roster. Both of their quarterbacks have proven they can increase the statistics of an average receiver, so fans have been wondering how a star like that would blossom under Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

The Cleveland Browns are a top contender for the star receiver, and it's known that they're looking to add to their already talented receiver Josh Gordon. With plenty of cap space, it's a deal that could be easily done, but will the Browns make a run at the player? Also, how will this release change the structure of the NFL draft, and the players certain teams were planning to target?

Where will DeSean Jackson end up, and is he worth the risk?
