Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has been suspended for the entire 2015 NFL season after failing a mandated drug dest and violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Gordon tested positive for alcohol while under probation following a DUI in July last year. The news comes just a day after it was revealed that rookie Browns backup quarterback Johnny Manziel had voluntarily entered a rehab treatment facility in Ohio. Read More »
Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has entered rehab in an effort to prove that he's taking his personal improvement seriously. Following rumors of alcohol abuse - with ESPN's Skip Bayless saying that Manziel had a problem with alcohol and having already received counseling for alcohol abuse - Manziel has voluntarily entreated treatment to 'improve' himself. Frat-boy party star-turned-Cleveland Browns NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel threw a party on Friday: as a result, he was fined, and got teammate Josh Gordon suspended for the final week of the NFL season, perhaps costing him millions of dollars in free agency in the process. The Browns - who lost to AFC North rivals the Baltimore Ravens 20-10 - are talking tough in response to the pair and Justin Gilbert's (who was also suspended for missing a meeting) attitudes towards being professional NFL players as a result, while owner Jimmy Haslam has said that coach Mike Pettine and GM Ray Farmer will "absolutely be back" for the 2015 NFL season. The Cleveland Browns have suspended Josh Gordon for the final game of their NFL season. The star wide receiver apparently missed the team's practice walkthrough and has been suspended one game for violating team rules. He will miss the team's Week 17 tilt against the Baltimore Ravens. Rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel also reportedly missed the walkthrough, but as he's injured, has been excused. With Gordon only playing five games this year, it also means that the talented receiver will be a restricted free agent after the year, rather than unrestricted, and raises the prospect that Cleveland could trade the star. Josh Gordon is back, the real (starter) Isaiah Crowell and Brian Hoyer are ready to rumble and they've just — perhaps luckily — beaten the Atlanta Falcons with a last-second field goal. Gordon has served his 10-game ban and he started the game well, and finished well, proving he had no "rust" from his long suspension. Crowell is now the No. 1 running back and Hoyer is still the quarterback and will remain so while he finds ways to win. It might not have been their best performance, but the Browns's boys have won again, and many are comparing them to the Super Bowl-winning New York Giants in recent memory. Joe Haden loves two things: sneakers and stopping wide receivers. So perhaps one should take note when he speaks about either of these things. Firstly, he's announced that on Black Friday he will open a sneaker store. The defensive star is a huge fan of his shoes, having a different pair for almost any occasion, however, opening his store is certainly showing his love for sneakers is greater than we imagined. Just days ago Mstars shared its view that Ben Tate might not be with the Cleveland Browns for much longer, and within minutes, they released him, leaving him free to join the Minnesota Vikings, replacing Adrian Peterson.
