Frat-boy party star-turned-Cleveland Browns NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel threw a party on Friday: as a result, he was fined, and got teammate Josh Gordon suspended for the final week of the NFL season, perhaps costing him millions of dollars in free agency in the process. The Browns - who lost to AFC North rivals the Baltimore Ravens 20-10 - are talking tough in response to the pair and Justin Gilbert's (who was also suspended for missing a meeting) attitudes towards being professional NFL players as a result, while owner Jimmy Haslam has said that coach Mike Pettine and GM Ray Farmer will "absolutely be back" for the 2015 NFL season. Pundits have since wondered whether the Browns could be preparing to trade Josh Gordon and Johnny Manziel.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot reported that Manziel was "fined being late for treatment today. On IR and didn't need to participate in walk-through," which Gordon missed. The sum that Manziel was fined has not been disclosed.

Not only that, reports CBS Sports's Jason La Canfora, but "The Browns had to send security personnel to Manziel's house on Saturday to try to locate him when he was absent from the building, according to a source with knowledge of the situation."

Huh. That seems like a good thing to happen with your mooted franchise QB.

Meanwhile, La Canfora reports that "several members" of the Browns organization say that Josh "Gordon "has to go", citing "his drug suspensions and lax behavior a growing problem and something they are concerned could rub off on young players on the roster."

Gordon, for his part, is fighting to be paid for the suspension, as not being so will affect his ability to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2015 season.

Browns owner Jimmy Haslam was non-plussed with his young players, with ESPN reporting the old, rich white man — who has been accused of misleading and ripping off poor people — as saying:

"I think a player who can't show up for meetings, can't make practice, can't make weight-lifting, disrespects himself," Haslam said. "But I think more importantly, and I think this is what these young guys miss, they disrespect the team, the coaches, the staff, the fans."

"There's a lot of people in our organization whose livelihood depends on how well we do. We're not gonna tolerate people who are irresponsible, no matter what round they're drafted in."

He added that while the Browns will try to help their players, they will also be on notice that such antics won't be tolerated. "They're young kids," he said. "We're going to work with them -- hopefully they grow up. But if they can't grow up and they can't be responsible to the their teammates and the coaches and our great fans, then they won't be with the Cleveland Browns."

That's right; It's Josh Gordon and Johnny Manziel's fault that Cleveland suck... As opposed to their 40 year history of losing and organizational mis-management.
