Cleaveland Browns may reportedly release or trade Josh Gordon shortly after NFL Comissioner Roger Goodell formally reinstates him. On the other hand, the Broncos are reportedly no longer pursuing Tony Romo.

Gordon who has been suspended in 43 games out of Browns' 48 games. After his brief return in the NFL, Gordon was suspended indefinitely by the league in October last year because of substance abuse. The cager has not been in the field since Dec. 21, 2014 after the team lost to the Panthers, Cleaveland reported. If Gordon will be reinstated, there is still no assurance that the Browns will give him another chance.

Gordon, who turns 26 next month is reportedly working out in Gainesville, Florida with former Olympian Tim Montgomery who is now working as a coach at NUMA Speed. Montgomery is working with troubled athletes to get back to their careers and turn around their lives after he himself landed in trouble for some time for possessing and selling heroin. Browns can still opt to field Gordon in the NFL if the team wants to exhaust their rights for two more years after Gordon's reinstatement.

Elsewhere, Coyboys quarterback Tony Romo may leave the team this year but sources say that one of the high bidders for the veteran is not longer pursuing his services. Cowboys reportedly wants to trade Romo to either the Broncos or Texans but apparently, Broncos are no longer interested. On the otherhand, the Texans might be able to extend Romo's NFL career because the team still has $21.4 million in cap space, Sporting News reported.

If all else fails, Romo could shut the door on football altogether and end up as an analyst for CBS or Fox Sports. Both networks are reportedly making a strong push for the NFL veteran with Fox targeting Romo as a possible replacement for John Lynch. Romo has yet to issue an official statement.
