In the 90's, the word "Baywatch" used to be synonymous with the name David Hasselhoff. Now that it's headed right at the big screens, new names will be linked to the upcoming movie, and two of the artists share the same name.

Justin Bieber and Justin Timberlake are reportedly wanted for different roles in the upcoming silver screen release of the well-loved beach drama.

"Baywatch" first started out in 1989 but got cancelled after one season. Hasselhoff along with other producers felt that it had a lot of potential, and revived it for its first syndication. It ran from 1989 to 1999, during which the show received a setting change and a large casting overhaul that resulted to Baywatch Hawaii.

"Contact Music reports that producers want Justin Timberlake to take a part, as well. There is a role of a disgraced former Olympic swimmer who tries out for a spot on the Baywatch lifeguard team that would apparently suit JT to perfection," reports Pop Crush on the alleged role that the "Lovestoned" singer might have.

The former NSYNC member is currently pursuing his career in acting, having fairly good movies under his belt such as "In Time" where he played the lead character opposite Amanda Seyfried, "Friends With Benefits" with Mila Kunis, and "The Social Network", where he received raves for his acting talents.

On the other hand, the teenage "Boyfriend" singer might play the son of Hasselhoff's character, Hobie Buchannon.

"Jeremy Jackson, who played Hobie Buchannon, the son of Hasselhoff's character, on the series, told TMZ that he'd love to see his former role played by The Biebs. Can you imagine? The Biebs, all buff, shirtless and looking good in red swimming trunks?" reports Pop Crush regarding the supposed role of the Biebs. Jackson is even offering to train the teen heartthrob, but not without an exchange.

"Jackson is so hot on Bieber for the role that he even offered to train the singer, 18, on the art of being a lifeguard in exchange for the chance to drive the teen's Batmobile Cadillac on the weekend," continued Pop Crush.

Whatever the outcome, fans of both artists as well as the show surely cannot wait to hear that familiar theme song.
