Premier League Soccer Transfer Gossip: Could Liverpool steal Ross Barkley from rivals Everton?

With the end of the Premier League season in sight that means one thing. The transfer window will soon be open, and after a long, patient wait your team can strengthen their team by signing that highly rated must-have player, even if it will cost your team millions of dollars. With the Premier League lacking a dominant force everybody seemingly believes they're a player or two away from winning it all, so what does that mean? Everybody will be looking to add quality players, no matter the price, but could Everton's star player join their arch rivals Liverpool?

Liverpool and Everton couldn't hate each other more, but the city rivals have one thing in common this season. Both were predicted to achieve little to nothing, but arguably, as things stand, no teams have achieved more than the pair of clubs this season. With Liverpool targeting the Premier League title, and Everton close to gaining Champions League qualification, it's clear that both sides will have a ton of money at their disposal.

Liverpool have been linked with a $60 million dollar bid for 20-year-old Everton playmaker Ross Barkley. Many of the worlds elite clubs would surely join the race, but could Everton sell to their local rivals?

Elsewhere it looks like Chelsea flop Fernando Torres could be set for a move to Italian side Inter Milan. Chelsea and Arsenal look set to battle it out for (yes another one) Everton star John Stones. Arsenal are also interested in signing Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic, who is no longer needed by his club.
