Selena Gomez 'blindsided' her fired manager parents amidst Justin Bieber romance rumors

Earlier this week, reports of Selena Gomez firing her management team surfaced. This wouldn't be that big of news but her management team is actually made up of her parents, mother Mandy and stepfather Brian Teefey. Now a new source is claiming Selena only spoke with her mother and stepfather after the rumors circulated and that the dismissal "blindsided" the Stars Dance songstress's parents.

TMZ broke both the initial story and this new followup as well. The gossip website explained: Mandy Teefey says she and Selena's stepdad sat down with the singer Thursday after TMZ's story ... and asked Selena if she was absolutely sure she wanted to move in a different direction. Selena said yes. Mandy tells us she thought last month's conversation was just talk  ... and she's having a hard time processing the fact that she's no longer Selena's manager.

"Selena feels she's outgrown her parents," a source revealed this week.

If Gomez has indeed fired her management team, she would need a replacement quickly. The multitalented starlet has two careers, singing and acting, which take a lot to manage. Who do you think will fill this open position?

TMZ has said Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, would be a fit for the job.  However, E! News speculates Bradford Cobb, Katy Perry's manager, would be a better option for the young starlet.
