One Direction's Zayn Malik donates guitar to children's charity

Though he's currently busy with One Direction's 2014 "Where We Are" world stadium tour, singer Zayn Malik still managed to get some charity work done with a great donation. According to charity owner Charlie Keane, who runs a Scottish Fund under his name, Zayn and his mother Tricia have donated a guitar to auction off and raise money for the charity!

"The boys from One Direction really do support the charity but it's really Zayn and his mum Tricia that are always keen to lend a hand," the fund owner explained. "I got a call from Zayn on (the) Sunday before the boys left for America and Tricia posted the guitar this week. I hope we'll get around $32,000. But the band have some really dedicated fans, so who knows?"

This isn't the only charity Zayn is involved with, though. Earlier this year he was named an ambassador of the British Asian Trust!

"We are delighted to welcome Zayn Malik to The British Asian Trust family; he is a young man with immense talent and a dedicated following," Hitan Mehta, the Executive Director of the British Asian Trust, said at the time. "Zayn joins a dedicated group of celebrity supporters, who have worked alongside us helping to improve the lives of disadvantaged people living in South Asia."

Other celebrity ambassadors for the British Asian Trust include Naughty Boy, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Dev Patel, Mishal Husain, Laila Rouass, Preeya Kalidas, Nitin Ganatra and Nina Wadia.
