There are rumours that Jennifer Lopez may be leaving 'American Idol' as judge is because she is working on a new television drama. To make it more interesting, the concept she is working on will be about a lesbian couple struggling with how they would raise their adopted kids.

According to reports by the Deadline site, J.Lo is working on an ABC Family series which revolves around a lesbian couple who adopts twins, one boy and one girl who are both 4 years old. This is similar to her own twins in real life.

Apart from the current struggles of the couple, more chaos and craziness are added to the household when a rebellious female teenager moves in with them as well. Lopez will not just serve as developer of the series but also its producer. There is a great possibility too that she might star in the series as guest.

It seems that with all these, J.Lo is working double time especially now that she is already separated from ex Marc Anthony.

Other Lesbian Themed Shows

There have been several television shows in the past which have become a hit even with its LGBT theme.

'The L Word' is one of the most popular lesbian drama shows ever produced by Showtime. It became such a big hit during its launch but its popularity slowed down after the second season ended. It also triggered a lot of controversial issues especially due to the graphic sex scenes the show have included in their episodes.

Even in other parts of the world, there have been lots of other LGBT tv series too. 'Far Out' is an ensemble drama based in London filled with a lot of references to the lesbian pop culture. In Canada, there's 'B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye' while in the US, there is the yet to be released 'Girl/Girl Scene.'

You can cross your fingers now whether J.Lo's lesbo drama will soon become a hit or not.
