2014 NFL Draft: Could former Alabama star A.J. McCarron be the steal of the quarterbacks?

A.J. McCarron has already had a very enjoyable life. He's been the star of Alabama, won national championships and he's dating model girlfriend, Katherine Webb, so could it get any better for the star QB? The 2014 NFL Draft finally takes place tonight and everybody is talking about Johnny Manziel, Derek Carr, Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles, but what about the smart, athletic McCarron? For some reason Nick Saban's former star apprentice is being overlooked.

With the first round taking place tonight, could A.J. find himself being selected? Many believe he will be a second-round pick, but the impressive QB could sneak in to the first round, depending on how things pan out. With one of the most exciting classes of all-time, it's hard for teams to guarantee who they'll take, but if certain people are taken off of the board then expect A.J. McCarron to quickly move up the ranks.

McCarron can win games, he's a quick learner and he's very composed, could you ask for much more? Perhaps a team like the Denver Broncos or the Seattle Seahawks will look to take A.J., bringing him to an environment where he will get time to learn of great quarterbacks in Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson. If so, A.J. can add to his already impressive skill-set, and when the time comes, the NFL could have another elite QB to contend with.
