When spring hits every year it means to things to NCAA and professional sport fans, it's time for the drafts. With the 2014 NFL Draft just passed, the attention of sports fans swiftly turns to the 2014 NBA Draft. Both sports are set to see two of the most exciting classes ever, but who will go No. 1 in the NBA draft? The trio favoured for the honour are Jabari Parker, Joel Embiid and Andrew Wiggins, but both Parker and Embiid have snubbed the NBA combine which starts next week.

The combine is usuaully a chance for teams to assess the players they potentially want to draft and for the players to show what they can do, but not every athlete comes out of it with good reviews. Teddy Bridgewater was favorued to be drafted No. 1 in the 2014 NFL Draft, but after a horrific pro day he fell to the last pick of the first round. With Parker and Embiid refusing to take part, perhaps they're scared of a Bridgewater-type collapse

Both NCAA stars left college after their freshman year, and they had very impressive years, with many believing they'll be instant success in the NBA. Are there reasons for this snub, or could there be a genuine reason behind their decision. The NBA Draft Lottery takes place in a week and a half, and after that things will look clearer as to where both Parker and Embiid will play their NBA careers.
