The words Cleveland and sports just don't go together, unless it's followed by laughter, right? Cleveland's 3 premier sports teams have suffered for a long time now, but here are 5 players that could forever change the fortunes of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Indians.

1- Josh Gordon- Cleveland Browns- Wide Receiver-

The Cleveland Browns knew what they were getting when they drafted Josh Gordon: A quality receiver and a trouble maker, too. Gordon has fast become the elite receiver in Cleveland and one of the very best in the NFL in its entirety.

Gordon is facing yet another drugs ban. With a new contract needed before long, could the Browns reward him for his brilliance on the field, or will they reluctantly punish him for his mistakes? If he steers clear of trouble, Josh could change the football legacy of Cleveland forever.

2- Kyrie Irving- Cleveland Cavaliers- Point Guard-

Kyrie Irving has become the star of the Cleveland Cavaliers, but with injuries and rumoured attitude problems, could they keep him in town, or will they look to move him to another team? The star point guard is still in the early stages of his career, and the Cavaliers, and the city of Cleveland would be wise to keep him around.

3- Jason Kipnis- Cleveland Indians- Second Baseman-

Jason Kipnis has become Mr. Reliable for the Cleveland Indians. The 2B is young, smart and an all-round player. With his contract locked up and secured, the Indians, and Cleveland can enjoy this game-changing star for years to come.

4- Johnny Manziel- Cleveland Browns- Quarterback-

Johnny Manziel has done nothing to prove himself yet, but the mania and hype surrounding him will surely help Cleveland. If he can play half as good as the hype he receives, the Browns and Cleveland as a whole will benefit from that.

5- Francisco Lindor- Cleveland Indians- Shortstop

For many years the Indians' fans have been claiming to have one of the best prospects in the MLB. He will finally, at long last, arrive in the MLB in the next season or two. If he continues his climb in a successful manner, and develops in to the shortstop everyone believes he can be, then the city of Cleveland may not endure pain in the MLB for a very, very long time.
