The Cleveland Cavaliers traded to get Chicago Bulls star Luol Deng only a few months back, and although they'd planned on trying to tempt him to extend his stay, other options have developed and it appears Cleveland will not be a option for the NBA veteran. Whilst he ponders his future he's taken time out to wish his home country, England, good luck for the 2014 World Cup.

Deng probably has his feet up enjoying the NBA playoffs and soon the World Cup, too, but one thing will be running through his mind. "How do I get to this elite level?" Every athlete wants to be at the highest possible level, but it's down to use his free agency draw to ensure he picks the right team, rather than one with the bad fortunes of the Bulls and the countless problems the Cavaliers' organization carries.

The LA Lakers and the Phoenix Suns are two possible destinations, as are a new contract at his two past teams, but it seems he will seek both money and the opportunity to win, making a team like the Lakers an impossible one to reject.

Although stars like LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony could be available, Deng provides an experienced, affordable option, meaning most NBA teams will make a push to sign him.

It looks like Luol should enjoy his summer of television sport, as he 'll have some very touch decisions coming his way soon. Where should Luol commit to for the peak years of his basketball career?
