Liam Payne and Sophia Smith Break Up Rumors: One Direction Hunk Dating Hometown Girlfriend Again, Defends Relationship On Twitter

We're not sure whether Liam Payne and Sophia Smith broke up and then got back together, or if they never split, but as of this week we can pretty much confirm they are currently dating. We know this because the One Direction stud randomly responded to some Twitter haters bashing his relationship with Smith, thus leading us to believe that they are in fact dating right now.

It's not as if these Twitter users tweeted at Liam for his response, though. The crooner somehow spotted these tweets and then responded back, which probably freaked the writers out a bit. In other words: Liam searches his and/or Sophia's names on Twitter so be careful what you say.

"Why did Liam give Sophia a shoutout. Nobody cares," one Twitter user wrote.

Liam responded with a simple, "I do," with an added winky face emoticon for good measure.

Another posted: "Liam and Sophia's relationship is so weird bc he draws so much attention to it but there's no way he's as into her as he was with Danielle [SIC]."

"And the person with the most far away from the truth comment goes to..." Liam cheekily responded.

So make sure you don't tweet anything too hurtful about Liam and Sophia's relationship because odds are the singer will see your message and respond with some sass!
