The 2014 World Cup is just hours away and everybody is starting to make their final pre-tournament predictions. With some stunning players and quality teams on show, literally anything could happen. Here's a little look at how the World Cup should pan out.

Winners - Germany

Runners Up - Argentina

3rd Place - Brazil

Dark Horses - France

Underachievers - Spain

Golden Boot - Lionel Messi.

Best Goal- Wayne Rooney (England).

Most Cards- Honduras.

Germany will finally be rewarded for their persistence with young players and their faith they'd given them. They will be a top contender, but they will rise to the occasion and lift the World Cup trophy next month. Argentina and Brazil will both be fighting it out to show which team is better, but Argentina will edge Brazil in a semi-final penalty shoot-out.

France will shock many fans by having a brilliant World Cup, however, they will lose by one goal against Germany in the semi final. France will take on Brazil for 3rd Place, but sadly they'll run out of steam and fall short of any glory at this year's World Cup.

Spain are the defending champions and many believe they will win it again, however, they've lost their hunger and they will disappoint this summer, despite making the quarter finals.

Although Argentina will finish as runners up, their star man, Lionel Messi, will grab the Golden Boot, beating out his rivals.

Overall, the 2014 World Cup will be a spectacle like no other seen before in sporting history.
