Although there are around 6 teams predicted to be in with a chance of winning the World Cup, France and Argentina are certainly two teams that are hungry and have the talent to back that desire up. Both teams had a tricky opening match, and one that if they could win, would allow them to relax for the remainder of their somewhat easy groups. France had the physical test of Honduras, whilst Argentina had the impressive Bosnia-Hercegovina. Both survived their test.

In the early game Honduras and France battled back and forth, in what turned out to be an intriguing game. This being because France wanted to attack in their usual non-stop style, whilst Honduras wanted to kick their opponents and try to cause physical damage to their opponents. The fact that they suffered a red card and conceded a penalty shows just that. France, however, were able to get around this tough test, and won 3-0, with a Karim Benzema double and an own goal that could've almost been given to Benzema, too.

Lionel Messi's Argentina are one of the top teams who are expected to make the World Cup final, but they were far from impressive. Superstars Messi and Sergio Aguero simply failed to live up to their reputations in the first half. However, an early own goal ensured Argentina had the lead. In the second half Messi, after receiving a ton of criticism worldwide, scored a sensational goal to put his team up 2-0. Despite a late Bosnia consolation goal, Argentina held on, surviving their toughest test of their group stage encounters.

How will these two World Cup giants do for the rest of the competition, and can either of them win the World Cup?
