For many years predictions of many suggested that the No. 1 pick of the 2014 NBA Draft would be either the Duke Blue Devils' Jabari Parker or the Kansas Jayhawks' Andrew Wiggins, and this season things changed as Jayhawks' Joel Embiid had an NCAA season to remember. The Cleveland Cavaliers struck lucky, winning the NBA Draft lottery last month, for the second year straight. Different reports have been insisting they wanted each one of this highly rated trio, but it's believed Embiid was their top target. However, that's all changed now.

Embiid was wanted by the Cavaliers, if, and only if, he could prove his injuries weren't a concern. It's believed he did so, with regards to his back problems, but days after the news of a foot injruy surfaced. Embiid would need surgery. This mishap has ensured the entire NBA draft and the NBA itself will change forever. The Cavaliers, who are known for making the wrong decisions, do not want to do so again, and will now avoid the injury-hit Embiid, and it's almost certain that they will take Jabari Parker.

Parker will bring them scoring and leadership they've lacked since LeBron James left for the Miami Heat. Jabari is often compared to Carmelo Anthony, so the Cavaliers will not do badly in selecting the former Duke star, even if they'd had their heart set on the big man in Embiid.

What will the Cleveland Cavaliers do with their coveted No. 1 pick? Will they take Parker, or will they change their mind and take Embiid after all? Mstars will provide live draft coverage on Thursday 26 June.
