After ten years of both United Kingdom and United States reality series versions of Kitchen Nightmares, star Gordon Ramsay announced that the next season of the show would be its last. This is the show that rocketed Ramsay to international fame for his foul mouth, skills in the kitchen and desire to help failing restaurants. One of which, Amy's Baking Company, made Kitchen Nightmares a buzz-worthy show just over a year ago.

If you aren't familiar with the popular show, Gordon would meet with a failing restaurant's owners and crew then spend a week turning it around by revamping whatever needed help including the food, the décor and even the staff.

"I'm currently filming 4 new episodes, Costa Del Nightmares, for Channel 4 which will be my last. I've had a phenomenal 10 years making 123 episodes, 12 seasons, shot across 2 continents, watched by tens of millions of people and sold to over 150 countries. It's been a blast but it's time to call it a day," the world-renowned chef announced on his personal website earlier this week. "Starting in 2004 this was the show that really propelled my TV career and I'm very grateful for the amazing team behind the series and for the support from the viewers for almost over a decade! From the first episode which aired in April 2004 with over 5 million viewers we're now 12 seasons later and it's been an amazing journey."

Concluding his statement on his website, Gordon thanked his fans and viewers, and hoped he helped a few people along the way.
