Ms. Melodie of Boogie Down Productions has died, according to the "Twitterverse." Global Grind has reported on the death, but only cites anonymous sources, so before anyone gets upset about the passing of Ms. Melodie, it could still be a hoax as of now.

The artist is best known for her hit single "Hype According to Ms. Melodie" and her video, "Live On Stage."

Ms. Melodie is (or was) a Brooklyn native and has two sons. She is also the ex-wife of KRS-ONE.

The cause of her alleged death is unknown.
