Before the 2014 World Cup started many predicted both Brazil and Germany would be among the final four of the 32 teams entering the tournament. When the two were paired together in the semi-finals, many nodded as if it was what they'd expected all along.  But what came next, nobody in the entire world predicted. Germany walked on to Brazilian turf, and embarrassed the home team in front of their thousands of fans, demolishing them with a record-breaking 7-1 win, to progress in to the 2014 World Cup final, where they will play Argentina or Netherlands.

5 first-half goals landed past Brazil's keeper within an 18-minute spell.  At one point Germany scored a stunning 3 goals in 3 minutes.  TV cameras showed shocked Brazil fans literally slack-jawed and sobbing in the stands, whilst Germany's players, staff and fans began to picture lifting the most coveted trophy in all of sports. Every pass, every move, made Germany look like they were playing a kid's game, and Brazil had no answer for their attacks. After one goal went in Brazil crumbled, perhaps knowing star man Neymar wasn't there to bail them out.

In the second half Germany slowed the pace of the game down, but still managed to grab another 2 goals. Brazil scored a late reply, but it was far too little far tooo late to save them from humiliation. Losing 7-1 is not acceptable, especially as a Brazilian team playing in a World Cup Semi-Final at home. This will go down as one of the biggest stunners in the entire history of international soccer. Only once before had Brazil given up 7 goals in a World Cup match -- way back in 1934.

Will Argentina and Netherlands be scared to face the mighty Germans now? The 2014 World Cup will not stop delivering shocks.   Do you want to miss out on the next one? Thought not- stay tuned to Mstars for the latest World Cup news.
