After four years of waiting we've enjoyed one of the best ever World Cups, but at long last the 2014 World Cup Final is here. Lionel Messi's Argentina will take on Thomas Muller's Germany, in what many believe will be the battle of the world's best player (Messi) versus the best all-round team in Germany. Every player in the world grows up wanting to lift the biggest trophy in sports history, the 22 that will walk out on the pitch have a chance of doing just that, but which 11 will cry tears of joy, and which will cry tears of pain?

Messi, according to many, needs a World Cup win to cement his place as the greatest player to ever play soccer. After almost singled-handedly pulling his team through the competition he won't want to throw away the biggest opportunity of his career. Muller, who was the 2010 World Cup top scorer, has made an even bigger name for himself in Brazil, and he will want the world to forget about Messi, and to embrace the brilliance he consistently shows at the World Cup.

It's believes that Germany will not treat Messi differently, meaning he should get plenty of chances. However, as shown recently against Brazil, Germany can destroy a team, and Argentina may be worried of suffering a fate similar to the 7-1 thrashing Brazil received. This game is one to watch, unless you fancy a four year wait for a game of similar excitement?
