In an inquest earlier today, the details of Peaches Geldof's tragic final days were revealed.

Peaches, the daughter of Live-Aid founder and Boomtown Rats' singer Sir Bob Geldof was found dead in her Fairseat Lane, Wrotham, home on April 7.

Peaches' husband, musician Thomas Cohen, 25, revealed he last spoke to her at 6pm the Sunday before her death by phone while away visiting his parents, but rushed back when he was unable to reach her again.

The 25-year-old was found dead on the edge of a bed in the spare room by Cohen. 11-month-old son Phaedra was in the home, but not in the room where Peaches died.

Thomas testified Peaches had been battling heroin addiction for approximately 2 1/2 years and was having difficulty coming off methadone, which she had been taking during that time.

A forensic scientist also revealed Peaches' death may have been caused by her lowered tolerance to the drug, as a result of consuming less in an attempt to get clean.

Thomas also revealed he discovered Peaches was using again in February 2014. When he confronted her, she retrieved her stash and flushed it down the toilet.

Police found a £500 bag of heroin with a high purity level of 61% hidden in a cupboard with syringes and cotton balls inside a box of sweets. (Street heroin, the inquest was told, usually has a purity of under 30%.)

The day she died, Peaches' posted a photo of her and mother Paula Yates to Instagram. Yates died of a heroin overdose in 2003.

Police revealed there is an undergoing investigation to finding Peaches' suppliers, but no one has been arrested thus far.
