'The Evil Within' Gameplay Trailer, Release Date News & Spoilers [VIDEO] Watch Over an Hour of In-Game Footage for 2014 Title from 'Resident Evil' Creators

Bethesda (the group of developers behind the Resident Evil video game franchise) definitely seems proud of the upcoming horror survival game, The Evil Within, which has a release date set for October 14, 2014. We come to this conclusion because a great new gameplay video featuring over an hour of in-game footage was released with one employee experiencing first-hand how terrifying the new game is! Maybe the best part of this new video, apart from the length of the video is that the player (Bethesda's Pete Hines) is in a pretty dark room while playing. This makes the game a bit scarier and we get some great reactions from him!

Shinji Mikami, the father of survival horror, is back to direct The Evil Within^TM - a game embodying the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story weave together to create an immersive world that will bring players to the height of tension. The Evil Within is in development for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, PC and next generation consoles and is slated for release in 2014.
