Originally released in 2012 for Nintendo 3DS and then in 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360, Resident Evil: Revelations has become a beloved title in the Capcom franchise. It didn't make too much money, but that apparently hasn't stopped Microsoft from producing a sequel. According to reports and some images on the Xbox website, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is on the way. A release date has yet to be announced since this was just leaked this week.

A handful of gamers and gaming websites stumbled upon two images on the official website for Xbox that definitely point towards the confirmation for the sequel.

As you can see, the Xbox 360 will obviously be one of the platforms for this gaming sequel, but fans are probably hoping for a 3DS version.

Gamma Squad reports:

So far, only the Xbox 360 is confirmed, but there's no way the game's not coming out on multiple platforms. The big question is, will we see another 3DS version? The 3DS is where the Revelations sub-series started, and the platform the game sold the best on, but Capcom may not want to tie themselves to the limitations of a handheld any more.
