The 2014/15 NFL season is approaching, and the Cincinnati Bengals are hoping their 2015 playoff fortunes are far better than recent ones, if they get there of course. Lately, Andy Dalton has led them there and then disappeared, but now they have the newly married A.J. McCarron, who is pushing to one day be their main man. A.J. has recently married his long-time partner, model Katherine Webb, and he has survived roster cuts and some scary injuries that his fellow teammates have suffered, but can he become the leader the Bengals crave?

During Sunday's preseason win over the Arizona Cardinals the Bengals had three players carted off during the fourth quarter of the game. Then on Monday they made some roster cuts, but McCarron has survived both. He has had injury troubles, but none quite as serious as his teammates. He's expected to learn from Dalton this season, but some are suggesting he could find his way in to the starting job if an injury, or a bad run occurs.

Will McCarron have what it takes to replace Dalton? So far he's stayed out of trouble, and avoided the negative press, as his life revolves around football and his model wife. Perhaps some of his fellow professionals could learn from him, as several stars have been in the press for all of the wrong reasons during the past few weeks.

How far can the Bengals go in 2015, and can A.J. be a part of this success? Time will tell, but Dalton had best be prepared.
