When Ross Tucker, media personality of NBC Sports Network, spoke on Twitter wondering why Michael Sam hasn't been signed to the St. Louis Rams. Buffalo Bill's center Eric Wood lambasts everyone involved, including ESPN, for the star NFL player not being signed.

According to USA Today, the Rams have filled each spot of their 10-player practice but it does not include their former defensive end. Unfortunately, the NFL's first openly gay player was placed on the list the team cut. Now the unsigned football player can choose any squad to practice with.

An argument started when Tucker asked everyone on Twitter why the ex Rams player was not picked among the final choices. Huffington Post has the snapshot of the two debating over the reason why.

Tucker tweets, "Michael Sam performed much better than most expected and still isn't even on a practice squad?"

Wood then responded back with, "Blame that on ESPN. No one wants the distraction."

Wood is referring to ESPN reporter Josina Anderson's awkward report about Sam's showering habits. Supposedly, Sam wasn't getting along with his teammates because of his sexuality. It seemed like the piece was stating the team wouldn't shower in the same room with someone who is gay.

Tucker could be implying that ESPN's report is the responsible for Sam being cut. With an impressive record of 11 tackles and three sacks, wouldn't Sam have been picked automatically? But then, would the Rams have dropped Sam because he brings in bad publicity to the team?

Even though they're not on the same team, Buffalo Bills Eric Wood stands up for Michael Sam. Readers, do you think ESPN is the reason why Sam was cut?
