The boxing world are in shock today, as they've learned that world welterweight champion, Kell Brook, has been stabbed in the leg, and he's been hospitalized in this tragedy. It's believed he will be okay, with the worst outcome being a delay on one of his expected fights against Floyd Mayweather Jr, Shawn Porter, Amir Khan or Manny Pacquiao. The British boxer won the title last month against U.S. star Porter, and he was on holiday in Tenerife, but a dispute ended badly on Wednesday evening.

The star is in hospital, awaiting further news. It's believed a May Wembley Stadium showdown against fellow Brit Khan is on the cards, with the winner fighting the winner of Mayweather and Pacquiao (if they fight). However, these plans are up in the air now. Promoter Eddie Hearn had recently explained that the fight could happen. He said "Talks are ongoing over a fight between Kell Brook and Amir Khan. It is going well because I think everyone realises it makes sense,'

Hearn continued "'Khan obviously wants a fight with Floyd Mayweather, as does everyone in the division, but he knows that while that fight might never happen, even if it did he would make more money fighting Kell. Everything so far has been very straightforward and I am in talks with Wembley over a May date. They want us back there as soon as possible after the success of Froch-Groves - I have no doubt in my mind that we would fill that stadium again. I hope to have this tied up in the next month or so."

We may know Brook's next few opponents, but sadly as of yet, we have no idea how long it will be until he makes a full recovery from being stabbed.
