The 2014 NFL season will kick-off tonight as the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks, will take on the Green Bay Packers. Quarterback Russell Wilson will be hoping to make an impressive start to the season against veteran QB Aaron Rodgers, but which will get the first game upper-hand? The Seahawks displayed great defense and a productive offense, and little has changed, making them a heavy favourite to retain their Super Bowl title. If you're a betting man, it'd be wise to go with the Seahawks winning their first game, and potentially another Super Bowl.

The Packers cannot be written off for this game or the Super Bowl itself, but this opening clash will tell all with regards to whether they're a serious contender or not. Wilson will be hoping to settle down this season, although possibly keeping a crazy side of his game, he should look to adapt and use the vast experience he's gained in his first two seasons. If he can settle down, then who could write them off from winning multiple titles during his stay in Seattle?

Green Bay have had their ups and downs, but as proven when he's been injured, their team revolve around Rodgers. If he's in the groove, and healthy, then they could cause problems for any team in the league. However, if any team can stop them during their best run of form, it would most definitely be the awkward, and difficult Seahawks.

Who will win the opening match, and which team will win the Super Bowl? Wilson will be looking to prove last season was no fluke, but can Rodgers embarrass the champions early on?
