It was the story that had America captivated this past season of The Bachelorette, as star of the show and former professional footballer Jordan Rodgers, revealed that him and his brother Aaron Rodgers don't really speak to each other. When Jordan joined the show, it was highly publicized that he was the brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodger, but when the episodes of the show finally aired, so did the families dirty laundry, and today the real reason behind their falling out is being revealed, including what Olivia Munn has to do with it all. The sports trick shot is great. You know, throwing a football into the basketball hoop; kicking a soccer ball into a basketball hoop; throwing a frisbee into a basketball hoop (anything with a basketball hoop, really). There are no boundaries on creative freedom, either. Got a tennis racquet, an orange, and a moving target? You're all set. And, thanks to YouTube, we can see plenty of this sort of thing. That, and a lot of guys celebrating like they just won the Super Bowl. However, it's not just the average Joe that enjoys a good trick shot--star athletes do, too. People like Chris Paul and Aaron Rodgers. The pair recently joined up with trick shot experts, Dude Perfect. The result was, well, it was like a snow-cone on a warm summer day. Read More »
On Sunday, Teams around the NFL recognized Friday's tragedy in Paris with a moment of silence. In Green Bay, it was no different. However, there was something of an unsavory moment when a fan--or fans--made prejudicial remarks during the silence. Something star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, took exception to. At his post game press conference Rodgers addressed the value of having these moments of silence, and expressed his dissatisfaction toward one particular fan. Read More »

Were the Dallas Cowboys and Dez Bryant robbed by the refs when they overturned Bryant's seemingly amazing catch from quarterback Tony Romo in favor of the Green Bay Packers late in their NFL playoff matchup? The catch that wasn't a catch — taking place with 4:37 to go in the fourth quarter and the Cowboys trailing 26-21, prompted ref Gene Steratore to overturn the call on the field that ruled that Bryant had caught the bomb right at the edge of the Cowboys end zone. Today fans and media members are crying foul, with some going so far to say there's an NFL conspiracy. Read More »
Ndamukong Suh was initially suspended for stepping on the leg of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a move that appeared intentional, but now Suh will be fined instead, at a hefty $70,000 clip. The Cowboys would have probably paid that much to keep Suh off the field. Probably more. Suh has collected 36 sacks in his five-year career, and is a main component in the Lions excellent run defense. The Cowboys rely on their run game to give quarterback Tony Romo a break. According to ESPN, Suh has been flagged for 38 penalties since 2010 and fined over $200,000 in his career, over which he's earned the reputation as one of the NFL's dirtiest players. Rodgers was peeved after the incident, saying he believed Suh stepped on him on purpose. Read More »
The 2014 NFL MVP race is down to JJ Watt, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Tony Romo: can Watt, the Houston Texans defensive linesman, become only the fourth defensive player in the history of the NFL to win the award, topping the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks? Is Watt more valuable than even non-MVP level quarterbacks such as Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson or Andrew Luck? And what does Jerry Jones think? Read More »
Romo leads the NFL in completion percentage (70.3), touchdown percentage and first-down percentage, all according to ESPN.com. He has thrown four touchdowns for every interception, with 32 and eight, respectively. He also leads the league in Total QBR, at 82.3. That number tops those of even Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers and Denver Broncos star Peyton Manning. He's led the Cowboys to more than 35 points for three consecutive games for the third time since in team history and first time since 1983. Sunday he passed Troy Aikman for the most passing yards thrown in Cowboys history, according to CBSSports.com. Read More »
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won the NFL MVP in 2011 and was on a short list to win the award again this season. But he stunk Sunday, Dec. 14. Stunk — and the Packers dropped a head-turner of an upset to the Buffalo Bills 21-13. How bad was Rodgers? For the first time in his career, Rodgers didn't throw a touchdown and had two interceptions in a regular season game, according to the broadcast. Rodgers hadn't had a zero touchdown/two interception game since the 2010 NFC Championship, although Rodgers did run for a touchdown in that game. Another difference: The Packers won. They lost Sunday for just the fourth time this season and first since Oct. 26 against the New Orleans Saints. That was also the last time Rodgers had been intercepted. The Packers clearly go where Rodgers takes them. There have only been four times that the All-Pro has failed to reach 200 passing yards in a game, and Green Bay has lost three of those games, according to ESPN. Read More »

Could Houston Texan JJ Watt become only the third defensive player to win the NFL's MVP award? That's the chatter around the NFL as the Texans lineman put up another dominant display on the weekend, scoring his fifth touchdown of the year to go with his 11.5 sacks, and prompting the Houston crowd to chant "M-V-P, M-V-P" for the defensive behemoth. The only thing that could realistically stop him? The Texans's 6-6 record which, compared to other MVP frontrunners such as Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Richard Sherman, DeMarco Murray and Tom Brady, isn't quite good enough to guarantee a winning season, let alone a playoff berth. Either way, during the Houston Texans's 45-21 smackdown of the Tennessee Titans Sunday, Nov. 30, the Texans's fans made their preference clear, chanting out the accolade for the defensive lineman. The NFL are offering an exciting match-up this weekend between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers, but perhaps even more exciting is the fact that we will see Tom Brady vs. Aaron Rodgers, in a game which many believe could be a Super Bowl preview. Rodgers has praised Brady, but insisted that he will show that he's the best QB in the NFL. Both teams have been very impressive, and if one was to guess the most likely two final remaining teams, these would be the two. Who's ready for some football? Read More »
