Jennie Garth, who's famous for her role as Kelly Taylor in Beverly Hills, 90210, was actually up for another iconic '90s role ... Kelly Kapowski from Saved By The Bell.

After the Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story aired on Lifetime on Labor Day, many questions popped up about the '90s TV hit. Fans wanted to know if Jennie Garth was actually up for the role of Kelly Kapowski and the answer was yes.

The Lifetime film shows the casting directors reportedly pass on Jennie when they met Tiffani Amber Theissen, and the story is true; the two actresses did ended up acting together when Tiffani appeared in Beverly Hills, 90210 as Valerie Malone from 1994 to 2000. The two also became best friends during the '90s, but eventually had a huge falling out.

"We had a falling out and we grew apart. I was the one who was hurt, let's just say that. I was the one who was hurt," Tiffani said during a chat with Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show in July 2012. "It's funny, our relationship started really rough and ended the way it started."

"It's water under the bridge ... I've moved on. I wish her well," she added.

According to OK!, Jennie wasn't the only 90210 star who was passed over as a student at Bayside High School. The magazine revealed that Brian Austin Green, who played David Silver on 90210, also tried out for the show, but didn't get cast.

Tori Spelling on the other hand, who played Donna Martin on iconic show, did make a guest appearance on Saved By The Bell as Violet Bickerstaff.

Us Weekly reported, "In the film, (executive produced by Dustin Diamond) it was revealed that Tori was Diamond's first kiss when she guest-starred on Saved by the Bell as his love interest."

Jennie's career wasn't hurt when she didn't land the Saved By The Bell role, appearing in 90210, What I Like About You and most recently ABC Family's Mystery Girls. Unfortunately, Mystery Girls has yet to be picked up for a second season.

The crime-solving, light-hearted show stars the 42-year-old actress and her former cast mate and friend Tori Spelling. The show is reportedly heading towards cancellation.

"Although an ABC Family rep maintains that no official decision has been made, TVLine is hearing that the cable net will not be bringing its Tori Spelling-Jennie Garth buddy comedy back for a second season," TVLine reported today.
