Former football player Tim Tebow has landed a Good Morning America contributor spot after cohosting the show in January before the Super Bowl.

ABC News announced the newest addition to their onscreen team this morning. "Tebow will be part of the show's new 'Motivate Me Monday' segment that highlights people and their stories of triumph. ABC says he'll appear in the studio and from locations across America," the network said.

The Heisman trophy winner will start his new gig Monday, Sept. 15.

Tim started his sports commentating career with ESPN in January 2013, covering college football. Since then his career in front of the camera has taken off. He now reports on the SEC Network's game day show, SEC Nation.

"Tim is a SEC icon with a national fan base and broad appeal. He will be a significant contributor to the compelling content we will deliver with the SEC Network," Justin Connolly, senior vice president of programming for college networks at ESPN, said in a statement in 2013.

"Tim brings a wealth of knowledge about the game, the conference and the passion among SEC fans."

With his new role on GMA, he won't be focusing on football, but that doesn't mean he's ready to leave the NFL behind him. Tim, who started his NFL career as a Denver Bronco and then moved to the New York Jets and New England Patriots, hopes to play quarterback again in the future.

"I'm training every day and feel like I'm the best that I've ever been," told The Tennessean in June. "I still love it, love playing, talking about it, and I'm just excited about whatever the future holds. Who knows what could happen? But I'm excited about it, though."
