Season three of the ABC country-music hit Nashville premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 24 and this season there will be a lot of new faces in town. Here are the top actors on this season of the show.

Brette Taylor:

Actress and singer Brette Taylor will be joining this season's cast as a recurring character according to TV Line. Brette, who will also be starring as Batman's mother in the pilot of Fox's new drama Gotham, will play Luke's backup singer Pam.

"An incredibly talented musician in her own right, she quickly becomes Deacon's muse — even more so when her complicated and dark past comes to light," the publication reported.

We're all for more singers with twisted pasts, but if this new character causes a problem between Rayna (played by Connie Britton) and Deacon (played by Charles Esten) we will not be happy.

Derek Hough:

The Dancing With the Stars pro is taking a break from his dancing job and trying out his acting chops this season. According to Deadline, the 29-year-old has joined the show for a multi-episode arc.

"He will play Noah West, a beguiling and disarming movie star who will cross paths with the players of Nashville's music realm for the first time when he's tapped for a leading role in the biopic of a famous country singer," the publication learned.

Alexa Vega:

TV Line confirmed that the Spy Kids actress will be a part of season three of Nashville for a multi-episode arc, where she will play Gunnar's first love and high school sweetheart, Kiley. Spoiler alert: Kiley has a son, who is 10 years old ... could it be Gunnar's child?

Mykelti Williamson:

Justified star Mykelti, will be adding his acting and singing talents to the third season of the music-based show. The actor will play Terry, a musician who's had a personal tragedy in his past. According to Deadline, "Williamson will sing on the show, in what is expected to be a four-episode arc."

Laura Benanti:

Last but not least, Go On's Laura Benanti will be a recurring character on Nashville as she plays up-and-coming recording artist Sadie Stone. With Laura's background in music (she was Elsa Schrader in The Sound of Music Live! and has performed on Broadway) she will be a great addition to the singing actors that currently appear in the show.
