Season 3 of New Girl resulted in Jessica Day (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick Miller (Jake Johnson) breaking up. As a result, Jess is going to be dating many new guys in season 4 and the Fox comedy has cast a new love interest for the adorkable star.

TV Line has exclusively learned that Michael Stahl-David will be joining the cast as a guest star and love interest for Jess.

"Michael Stahl-David - whose credits include a co-starring role in JJ Abrams' monster pic Cloverfield as well as stints on CBS' Person of Interest and ABC's short-lived My Generation — is the latest hottie to romance Zooey Deschanel's title character," the publication reported.

Michael is set to play a possible love interest for the newly-single Jess for one episode in November. The Cloverfield star isn't the only man who will try to win over Jess this season. TV Line previously confirmed that Julian Morris will also join the cast as a guest star this season.

The Once Upon a Time actor (Julian plays Prince Phillip in the ABC hit series) will have a multi-episode arc. "Julian will play Ryan, a distractingly handsome teacher who replaces Jess in the classroom now that she's the vice principal. His confidence and swagger rub her the wrong way as she attempts to assert her authority," Entertainment Weekly reported in August.

The good news is, Jess will actually fall for this guy, but it won't be without a few problems. "The complication is that she's very much his boss," executive producer Liz Meriwether told EW. "Jess is fighting her feelings for this teacher at work."

Which new love interest do you think Jess should end up with in season four? Do Nick and Jess have any chance of getting back together?
