NBA Commissioner Adam Silver Strangely Supports NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell: Donald Sterling, Ray Rice & Adrian Peterson

It has not been a good time for the NFL or its commissioner Roger Goodell as of late, but it seems that he has the NBA and Adam Silver's support and backing. While Silver has been constantly praised recently, especially for his handling of the Donald Sterling case, Goodell has had the exact opposite, receiving negative comments for a long, long while. However, Silver believes Goodell is doing a "great" job after all, despite recent criticism over Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson and their abuse cases.

While Silver's reputation has increased for effectively handling the Donald Sterling situation, Goodell has received criticism for his handling of the recent Rice and Peterson abuse cases, alongside various other concerns people have. Silver insisted "He's doing the best he can under difficult circumstances. He's been a great commissioner so far and he'll work his way through these issues."

Silver did insist that Roger has not been in touch for help, but insisted he'd learned from Roger, meaning any praise he receives is with thanks to the NFL commissioner. Silver thinks that Goodell is handling things in the best way they can, and that soon he and the NFL will fully resolve the matters in the best way possible.

Is Silver right, or is he merely using his good-guy reputation to try and help his fellow professional out? Goodell has a lot of sorting out to do, starting with running backs Rice and Peterson. Here's hoping he ends it as swiftly as Silver did the Sterling situation.
