Jennifer Garner isn't anything like the abundant amount of celebrities who take to Twitter or Instagram to post photos and rant about their everyday life. But what keeps the star opting out of the two popular social media sites? The answers may surprise you as more humble than you would think.

"I have a couple of reasons," Garner told People. "One, I don't want any more guilt coming from my phone or computer. I have the hardest time answering emails anyway, so the last thing I want to feel is indebted to my phone or computer. So it's time."

The Men, Women & Children star does have an official Facebook page, but she said that she's not on Twitter or Instagram.

Garner's Facebook page currently has 299,976 likes. She uses the site for promotional use and career related posts such as announcing her most recent trailer for the film Men, Women & Children. No photos of Ben Affleck and the kids, just photos of past interviews and magazine covers she has been on.

Because of her recognition, one would think that she chooses not to be on Instagram and Twitter for the privacy, but speculators are way off.

"And the other is, what would I Instagram that people would want to see?" Garner said. "There is nothing I would put out that people would want to see. It's probably best to stay away. They don't want to see me and my mom friends after kindergarten drop-off."

Garner and actor hubby Ben have three beautiful children together, Violet, Samuel and Seraphina. Due to her worldwide fame she has fought for the anti-paparazzi campaign that supports laws to protect children from paparazzi.

"There's an idea that because our pictures are everywhere that we are complicit in it," she has said. "When really what happens is they're waiting outside our door every single day."

In September 2013 a bill was passed to protect celebrities' children from harassment by photographers.
