Boy band enthusiasts like One Direction fans are as passionate and protective as the come. Fans of the pop band are now outraged at The Daily Show. After a segment was aired by host Jon Stewart regarding the current United States conflict against ISIS.

On the shows Tuesday nigh segment, Senior Pentagon Correspondent Jessica Williams gave a humorous explanation concerning the terrorist group ISIS, "Just as you were talking, a new terrorist group formed with one member each from ISIS, Al Nusra, Al Qaeda, One Direction and the Zetas drug cartel," Williams joked. "They like to hijack planes, Jon, and take them to Cuba. They're really taking it old school. Very vintage."

That one-liner had One Direction fans furious when they knew the show was going to air. A mockery of their innocent boy band will not be justified for these fans! Equating them to a group of terrorists is unheard of! (their take on the matter, not ours) There are even two hashtag's that have been created regarding the matter. #TheDailyShowGoneTooFar and #ZayneDefenseSquad

Fans are taking the absurd idea of the pop group as terrorists irrationally to heart. Some fans are pointing out that one member of the group, Zayn Malik, is of Pakistani decent and is a practicing Muslim. Therefore he should not be the brunt of our countries war on terrorism.

Though The Daily Show has crossed lines with other devoted fan groups like Redskins Fans, the may have jumped the line with One Direction aficionados.

They do run in massive packs, with twittering thumbs faster then you can imagine.

The Daily Show has had such success because of their political humor mixed with pop culture, people love their late-night satirical television program. It is on Comedy Central of all networks! The show has won 18 Primetime Emmy Awards, therefore it's joking parodies and hilarious mockeries works for them and we doubt they will stop with the jokes any time soon, or if at all. A few creative hashtags and boisterous fans, is nothing but free PR for the show.
