Of all the tributes Derek Jeter has received this year, the Funny or Die skit produced by comedians Chris Rock, Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart is the funniest.

Will Ferrell, Chris Rock and Kevin Hart Say Goodbye to Derek Jeter from Funny Or Die

The video was released yesterday — the same day the legendary New York Yankees shortstop ended his career at Fenway Park against his team's archrival Boston Red Sox. So, it was fitting that the video came from Yanks fan Rock and Sox fan Ferrell. As for Hart ... well, he seems a little less knowledgeable of the sport.

"Hey, I'm here to cheer up the captain," Chris Rock says as the video opens. "Now, Jeet, I know you didn't get a lot of love this season. But I just want you to know, that no matter what happens, you will always be remembered as a pretty good player. You were good. Pretty good."

A little too good, if you ask Ferrell.

"DE-REK JE-TAH! DE-REK JE-TAH!" the Anchorman actor tauntingly chants in a Boston accent while he claps along in a Red Sox cap.

Next up, Hart's monologue is hilarious and touching, even if a bit unenlightened.

"Congrats on getting to the championship this year! Go Yankees!" Hart digs, as he tips his cap before learning the truth from someone off camera. "They're not in the what?"

And finally, Rock and Ferrell each give one last — heartfelt — round of props to Jeter before all three funnymen remove their caps and salute the captain.

In the end, the tribute was entertaining and fun, with a touch of class — just like Jeter himself.
