In this week's episode, "Get my Cigarettes," the case hits close to home for Voight and he will stop at nothing to find the killer.

Voight is friends with this week's victims, Billy and Nick. He assumes they were killed by an organized group. However, when they bring in a man they think is related to the crime, Frank Barelli, they learn that he was not responsible for the murders.

They soon realize that the crime was done with shotguns –– a weapon of choice that few would choose. Ruzek connects the dots between the two victims leading to a guy named Dale.

Dale explains that his store got attacked because he couldn't pay the loan off of what he had borrowed. During the interview they find another victim killed by a shotgun.

But, who could it be?

Lindsay and Oslinsky are on the case and as they come up to the scene, they open a trunk with a new victim, a blonde woman who has been attacked.

The girl in the trunk, Collette, happened to be in the passenger seat and watched her father get murdered.

Voight goes back to the drawing board and pays a visit to Nick's wife, where she tells him that he was involved in a company called Maxwell investments. This may be a connection.

As Collette helps them draw up a sketch of the killer, Halstead recognized the killer as Dale's son, Nathan, who is a former Marine. This describes the shotgun and killing spree.

During a long chase and another shooting, Nathan heads to the hospital where his mother has been admitted. Halstead a former marine is able to talk Nathan in lowering his gun and giving himself up.

A hit on Halsted runs wild in a bar, where May the bartended is caught in the crossfires.

Lindsay reconnects with her mother Bunny, and still seems angry.
