It's official... Season 40 of Saturday Night Live has kicked off! Last Saturday night (Sept. 27) saw the premiere with host Chris Pratt. And while that episode went off to a number of mixed reviews, this Saturday is sure to bring the funny with comedian Sarah Silverman. At least, we think it's a safe guess considering the promos the show just released...

In the below video, which feature both the comedian and SNL player Taran Killam, Silverman discusses going back to her roots – as she used to be a writer for the series – and the legendary sketches she once wrote. You know, "Cow Bell," "Cheerleaders," "The Californians," and of course, when she played Sarah Palin. Oh, wait a minute; she may have gotten confused with another leading SNL female –– Tina Fey.

Check out Silverman's promo below:

Planted alongside Killam in the video, Silverman's near 4-minute "preview" only makes us more excited for her taking the hosting spot. It goes without saying that this episode should admittedly have a different feel than others, largely due to the fact that Silverman has been known to be more raunchy than other hosts of the past. With some small exceptions, of course. Raunch aside, whatever goes down, we're pretty confident in saying it'll be undeniably hilarious.

Reported here by MStarsNews, the famed The Bedwetter writer recently released word that she'll be turning her bestselling memoir into a Broadway play. Perhaps she'll discuss that during her SNL monologue? Guess we'll have to tune in to see!

Be sure to check out Silverman's episode of Saturday Night Live this coming Saturday (shocking!) at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
