Fox's Brooklyn Nine-Nine aired its second episode – titled "Chocolate Milk" – of Season Two earlier tonight. In the episode, we follow Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) as he helps Detective Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews) struggle with the choice of getting a vasectomy, Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) battle it out with a former co-worker (Kyra Sedgwick) and Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) attempting to find a date to his ex-wife's engagement party.

The episode kicks off with Jeffords alerting his crew of an upcoming vasectomy he's planning on having that very day. Much to their disappointment, for various reasons – with the exception of Charles, who went "trunk to skunk" – he appears adamant in getting the surgery. Peralta, after explaining he's latched onto a new stabbing case, offers to work the case together, become a true friend to his co-worker and drive him to and from the operation.

The two interview the owner of the chocolate milk shop, Mlk Drk, played by comedian Moshe Kasher, who assumes the person who stabbed him was his ex-business partner. Afterwards, it's on to the hospital to get snipped!

We then learn that the Deputy Chief is heading to the squad for an evaluation. Holt is shocked to find the new chief is a former co-worker/enemy, Deputy Chief Wuntch, played by Sedgwick. The two exchange words which leave Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero)
fearing for the future of the team... especially the Captain.

Outside of the evaluation, Charles admits to Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) that he's looking for a date to his ex-wife's engagement party. Much to his disappointment, the stone-faced officer refuses to go with him.

Back at the hospital, Peralta is informed that Terry's body is too massive for the operation. It seems that despite being chockfull of meds, Jeffords wouldn't go under. Therefore, doctors insist on rescheduling. He's left, high as a kite, in the hands of Peralta.

While attempting to tuck Terry in, the detective informs "Tiny Head" – his nickname for Peralta – that he really does not want a vasectomy and begs him not to let it happen. Alas, the next morning he blames his no-filter attitude on the drugs. Regardless, it's too late, Peralta refuses to let him do it!

As Holt is time and time again ridiculed by Wuntch, he reveals to Santiago the reason she despises him –– back in the 80s, the Captain refused Sedgwick's character during a sexual advance. Therefore, she refused to write him a letter of recommendation for an upcoming promotion. It's been tough times ever since.

Meanwhile, Terry and Jake interview the chocolate milk store owner's business partner, who seems legit.

On a mission to find a date for his ex-wife's (also his landlord's) party, Charles meets with Gina (Chelsea Peretti) in the bathroom, asking her to go with him as "bone bros" considering their on-again-off-again "situation." Sadly, he's rejected yet again.

Following some digging – and undoubtedly annoying those at the records department – Santiago finds Wuntch's long-lost letter of recommendation she did, in fact, write for Holt back in the day. While all this time Holt believed she never handed it in because of his sexuality, she admits it was because he tried getting her kicked off the force. The two go back and forth with examples of how they each tried to rid each other of the NYPD. Finally, after Wuntch blames him for making her look stupid in front of famed Yankee Derek Jeter, Holt demands she did it to herself, which causes her to storm out of the room.

Back at Terry's second attempt to get his vasectomy, he admits yet again to Peralta that he does not want it. At the same time, Peralta has discovered that the Chocolate Milk "stabber" was the ex-business partner they previously interviewed.

With Charles showing up to the station with a little flare – donned in Jamaican clothing ready for the wedding – he's delighted to see Diaz there waiting for him, also wearing Jamaican garb. She agrees to go with him. He's appreciative, saying, "Respect, mon!"

At the Jefford house, Terry – once again stoned – admits he's conflicted about getting a vasectomy and apologies for calling Samberg a work friend. "Your tiny head has a big heart!" he states, before saying he'll to talk to his wife.

As for Holt's evaluation, following his realization that the Nine-Nine square is the best job he's ever had, he chooses to swallow his pride and visit Wuntch... saying she is indeed superior and admits (against his will) that "the Derek Jeter thing" was his fault.

With that, the Nine-Nine squad earn themselves a 2.7 out of 5... enough for Holt to stick around!
